expat life

finally bought new bed mattress for shanghai

finally bought new bed mattress (same type as 5 star hotel again from taobao. hehe.) for our shanghai apartment. i took care ordering so folks will be there to receive it.

checking on more stock foods recipe for while i'm in shanghai. many nice ideas on many websites. i checked some nice shanghai japanese wife blogs that are really helpful to know good restaurants, cafe, bars, and food delivery. i am so happy to find out in takashimaya shanghai, they have Rf1, which is one of my family in japan's favorite for long yrs when we are tired to cook, buy something from takashimaya B1 and eat. i'm also looking forward to apita's beef sale, after 8pm at night it becomes cheaper. also found out so many burger places to enjoy in shanghai. nice!
another thing i found out is some wechat group that you should follow if you are a japanese or foreigner in shanghai. so i joined. such as some japanese supermarket, department store, organic vegetables delivery, and so on.

but anyways, all these japanese wife blogs seems they eat at expensive restaurants with wives together for lunch and they go have afternoon tea at the nice hotels very often and at night, they eat outside expensive japanese yakiniku or french food with husband. many have no children. i think it's asian benefit. expensive hotel lunch and dinner are still expensive but less expensive than in japan. so you can have a higher quality food life in asia so they enjoy while they can. pretty different from my mom who used to be expat's wife in the united states and canada, where they cook more often and use a lot of money differently than japanese wives in asia, such as buying western antiques or going to see opera or classical music concerts or nice trip often. hehe. also my mom is more like me. mostly american friends she met by herself in daily life and less japanese friends. ;)

anyways, yes, when my parents were expats we had this kind of luxury life, but as a grown up daughter i am having normal life right now, so not same as these japanese expat wives. not going to expensive lunch or dinner everyday. maybe i'd go to good restaurants in the wkends. therefore, since busy life waiting, gathering more nice stock recipe that can make and keep in large tupperware to save time and etc... と言うても疲れててよくデリバリーは取る事になるんやろうなぁ♪

well i'm so glad i'm meeting up with japanese folks (told ya i do have japanese folk only that are cool! hehe) tonight at the japanese izakaya. hehe.
